In 1920, a highly developed fruit garden was set up in Coonoor in order to increase the nursery plants and also trees of different fruits. This garden was completely taken care by the Horticultural Department. In this garden, researches are done by the state Agricultural Department on the different delicious fruits like Peach, Apples, Plums, Apricots, Pomegranates and many more. Also, the interesting part of this institute is that Jams and jellies are manufactured here for the sale and thus, who are fond of these two and more must make a worth visit to this attraction of Coonoor.
