Only at the distance of 20 kms from Kozhikode, other significant and interesting attraction of the region is situated named Kadalundi Wildlife Sanctuary. Basically, it is a bird sanctuary enclosed with hillocks and the scene of flowing River Kadalundi is really spell-binding. This sanctuary gives place to innumerable birds and provides shelter to more than 12 types of migratory birds like Gulls, Herons, Sandpipers, Brahminy Kites, etc. If one wants to watch these migratory birds, then the best time to visit this place is either February or March. Other than the birds, lots of wild animals also reside here.
