Kotla fort, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh - An impressive fort and heritage monument
Overlooking the deep valleys of Kangra, the Kotla Fort is an interesting massive structure near Nurpur. Built by Guler Rajas, the fort is a famous heritage monument standing on an isolated peak. While walking to the fort, one has to climb through the dense pine forests. The fort also houses the Bagulamukhi Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Durga. Nearby it you can also see a small Ganesh Temple. The deep arches, paintings and superb craftsmanship of the temple are worth adoring depicting the glory and grandeur of the ancient architecture.
