Gar Ali is a famous historical site and a shopping destination in the town of Jorhat. The site was built during the war between the Ahoms and the Moamarias in order to protect the Ahom kingdom from any external threat. Also known as the BibuddhiGhar, the site is dotted with several confusing pathways which were made to distract the enemies trying to enter the embankment. Extending from Seoni Ali to the Naha Hills, it is also a famous market place for the shopping freaks where they can find various interesting items associated with the Ahom culture.
