DhauliGiri is named among the main historical monuments of Bhubaneswar. The place is so respectable as it remarks the conversion of heart of King Ashoka and he got diverted towards Buddhism. It was after Kalinga War, he came to this place and gave up the red-blooded movement.  This place is situated firmly on the banks of River Daya. There is a bridge which connects the Stupa, a marvel erected on the plains. This appealing site is situated only 8 kms away from the city and throws great light on the historical events dating back to 3rd century BC. The Stupa is also wonderfully adorned and constructed.
