Batasia Loop is other fascination of Darjeeling and is well-known for its adventurous rail route. This loop is the main focal point of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and is situated at the Batasia Hilltop. Geographically, the Batasia Loop is sited at an altitude of 7000 feet on a hilltop lying between the Darjeeling Hills and the Ghoom. This loop was established in 1919 in the proximity to the small hamlet named the Ghoom and is only 5 kms away from Darjeeling. The stunning views of the Darjeeling make the way to Batasia Loop more exciting and fascinating.
