This pearl shaped lake is nearly 300 kilometres from Leh. On the way to the lake, is situated the Thiksay monastery one of the largest and architecturally most exquisite 'gompas' in Ladakh. This lake is close to the Indo-China border and needs a special permit to visit. While driving to this amazing lake one can have the beautiful majestic view of the mountains. You can notice the colour of the mountains changing from orange to a pinkish purple that is really awesome. So while you are in Leh, do take a turn towards Tsomoriri Lake for a memorable trip.
