Tawang War Memorial, Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh - An enchanting memorial
Tawang War Memorial is a 40 feet high enchanting memorial built in multi-hued stupa design. Also known as Namgyal Chorten, the memorial is dedicated to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Sio-India War I 1962. Perched amidst the lush green peaks overlooking Tawang-Chu Valley, it is a must visit place to see in Tawang. There are two halls in the memorial and one of them houses a collection of different articles of martyrs. A sound and light show is organized in the second hall of the memorial. Some of the stupas of Lord Buddha are also kept in it which were sent by Dalai Lama.
