Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Punjab - One of the most sacred pilgrimages of Sikhs

The Tarn Taran, which is supposed to one of the most sacred places for Sikhs, is situated just 22 km away from the Amritsar city. Founded by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru, this place has many Gurudwaras such as Darbar Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Gurudwara Guru Ka Khuh. The architecture of Tarn Taran is mainly inspired by the Golden Temple. There is a popular belief that the by taking dips into the holy lake located inside, leprosy can be cured.
