Sultan Battery, Mangalore, Karnataka - Impressive watchtower

The sultan battery is one of the most famous tourist spot located in Boloor, 6 km away from the main mangalore city bus stand. It was constructed by the emperor Tipu sultan as a barricade to prevent the warships from entering the Gurpur river. The rest of the fort is now commonly called the Tipu’s well and it’s totally a deserted spot. But the exquisiteness of its construction is very well worth seeing. It has the appearance of a small mini fortress with cannons surrounding the entire boundary. It is actually a pretty impressive watchtower worth seeing.
