In 1956, a structure was constructed in Mysore setting an example of perfect blend of sacredness and architecture and ofcourse, it is none other than St. Philomena’s Church. Especially, when you see this magnificent church in the evening, the entire scenario is unforgettable throughout the lifetime. This church is one of the most-ancient churches in Mysore and Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV was the founder of this awesome icon. Designed in the Gothic style, it is really spell-binding creation of French architect named Daly. He designed the Church in cross shape such as worshippers’ hall at the nave of the church and two cross’ arms form the wings of the Church.
