St. Mary's Church is an ancient church in Pune which said to be built around 1825. The British built this church so that people from their community settled in the city could offer their prayers to the Supreme God. The church is a splendid ancient building that exemplifies a fine blend of Indian and British architectural styles. The church also houses the mortal remains of Sir Robert Grant who happened to be the Governor of Mumbai and was also very famous writer of the religious texts. The church is the sacred place for the Christian community in Pune and people from other religions too visit this peaceful place to praise an elegant structure and offer their prayers to the Lord.
