Shevaroy Temple, Yercaud, Tamil Nadu - A beautiful temple atop the Sevaroyan Hill
Perched at a height of 5326 feet, Shevaroy isa beautiful temple which is situated atop the Servaroyan Hill which is the highest point in Yercaud. Dedicated to Lord Shevaroyan and Goddess Kaveri, the temple is in the form of a narrow and dark cave with the idols of Gods seated inside. It is considered very important place of religious significance to the tribal people residing in the hills and they celebrate an annual festival here in May with great joy and fervor. From the temple, once can enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounded hills and picturesque town of Yercaud.
