Sannihit Sarovar is also a holy water tank in Kurukshetra which is believed to be meeting place of seven sacred Saraswati rivers. The place is also supposed to be abode of Lord Vishnu and on the day of amavasya, thousands of devotees take a holy dip in the sarovar to get rid of their sins and sorrows. People from various parts of the country come here for performing the ‘pinddaan’ of their ancestors who passed away unnaturally. The place is also important because sage Dadhichi gave up his life here. The sarovar is encircled with small shrines of Dhruv Narayan, Hanuman, Lord Vishnu, LaxmiNayaran and Goddess Durga.
