This museum was built in 1964 as a tribute to the legendary Queen Durgawati who was known for her martyrdom. The museum houses a rare collection of ancient cultural relics, manuscripts and sculptures. Moreover, the religious idols of Lord Shiva, Parvati and goddess Durga made up of red sandstone are also exhibited in the museum. There is also an impressive statue of Goddess Saraswati along with Goddess Yogini. A separate section in the museum holds various photos and artifacts related t the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
