As the name suggests, Puthenkulam Elephant small village is home to a good number of elephants that attracts crowds of tourists to enjoy the various activities associated with the elephants. Around 25 km from Kollam, the village serves as a beaten path for the travelling of majestic elephants and the humans. A lot of activities such as elephant rising, trekking, elephant bathing and feeding are available here for the tourists. The place issprawled over an area of 3.5 acres and provides the tourists an unusual experience of spendinga whole day with elephants and mahouts.
