The main deity here is the goddess of Mangaladevi whom majority of the people worship. She was the princess of Kerala who came to this city along with Matsyendranatha. He was the founder of the Nath Following. She died in mangalore and the temple was built in her remembrance in the 10^th century. This sanctuary is situated 3 kilometres away from the city’s bus stand and was built by the Ballal family of Attavar.
