Best Season & Best time to visit Kumarakom

Dotted with rich greens, cool blues and emerald lagoons, the enchanting village of Kumarakom experiences a tropical climate that makes it a favorable holiday destination for the tourists all round the year. However the best time to enjoy the sizzling backwaters of the town is from September to March.

 

Summer (March to May)

The summers in the town are quite warm and the temperature does not exceed up to 37 degree C in day time. The nights are comparatively cooler and the mercury may drops down to 22 degree C. With close proximity to Vembanad Lake, the region of Kumarakom enjoys fresh breeze of air all the daylong and this time is considered ideal for enjoying sightseeing.

 

Winter (November to February)

Winters are quite pleasant with temperature varying between 18 and 32 degree C. This time is considered perfect to carry out various tourists activities in the town.

 

Monsoon (June to August)

Due to south west monsoon, the region experiences moderate rainfall and the lush greenery of the region adds to the beauty of the place. But backwater cruising is not permitted during monsoons.
