Katraj Snake Park is well known for a variety of snake species. The park is located at Katraj on Pune–Satara Highway which was established in 1986. Anyone interested in reptile life, can visit the park to develop more understanding about reptiles and clear many myths that are often associated with snakes and reptiles. Besides reptiles, the park has a wide variety of birds and turtles. The biggest attraction of this park is a unique species of Brown Palm Civet, which is very rare to find and is a big crowd puller. A king cobra is brought here from the Suderbans which is said to be nine feet long.
