The Itanagar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the main traveler’s attractions in the city. Located in an extensive area, the Sanctuary is a heaven for the biologists and the tourists having deep interests in the wildlife. The Sanctuary has a wide variety of trees and creatures and strikes a perfect balance of the biological system. In the Sanctuary, a variety of animals and birds can be seen by the visitors. Some of the specific animals and birds at the sanctuary are the macaque, hoolock gibbon, Capped langur and slow loris. Rare species of antelopes and Mittan can also be found here. The Musk deer, the Himalayan black bear, the red panda and porcupines are especially visible here with around 400 species of exotic birds.
