Halcyon Castle, Kovalam, Kerala - A splendid palace dotted with elegant architecture of Kerala
Also known as the Kovalam Palace, it is a beautiful tourist attraction to be visited in the city. Built by the regent, Sri Ram Verma Valiya Koli Thampuran in 1932, the castle once served as an ideal summer resort for the regal family. Later on, the Kerala Government took hold of it and nowadays, it has been transformed into a luxury hotel. However, the tasteful Kerala architecture and decorations have still been maintained as a testimony of the artistic heritage charm of the ancient times.
