The Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib is situated near the village Guru Ki Wadali, which is 7 km away from Amritsar. This rural community is the place of origin of Sri Guru Hargobind Singh, the sixth Guru of Sikhs. Guru Arjan Dev Ji, father of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib built a healthy place at this place to celebrate the birth of his son. This place came too recognized as Chheharta, as the wall at this place had six Persian wheels that were used to fetch water out. In the center of this hall, there is a square chamber, which is enclosed by a check post.
