Gaddige, Coorg, Karnataka - Architectural style

Actually, there is a historical edifice in a very haunting look in Coorg named Gaddige. It holds great significant place in the history chapters of Coorg and this site consists of tombs of great warriors named King Virarajendra, Ruddrappa and Lingarajendra. Rudrappa was the priest of their court. The tombs were built in the 18^th century and also there are two small tombs of royal officials named Biddanda Bopu and Biddanda Somaiah. The entire structure of the Gaddige was constructed in indo-sarcenic architectural style and the windows of the monuments have brass bars on which fine carvings are engraved. Though sounds old-fashioned but is quite appealing especially to history lovers.
