Diu Fort, Daman and Diu - A splendid fort
Diu Fort, the commanding edifice located on the right side of the seashore is a must visit ancient monument in the island of Diu. The fort was constructed during the 15thcentury and stands as a testimony of the strategic alliance between Sultan of Gujarat and the Portuguese. Surrounded by the sea from the three sides, the fort offers picture perfect views of the Arabian Sea and the pristine beaches. The visitors can also enjoy the magnificent view of the sunset from there. At night, the entire fort is illuminated by colorful light that makes the monument even more beautiful. One of the prime attractions inside the fort is the massive Light House.
