For the Muslims in Coorg, there is the most sacred place for them in Kodagu district named Dargah Sharif of Yemmemadu. It is not only religious Tomb of Yemmemadu but is also one of the famous architectural delights in Coorg. This tomb is constructed to memorize the two Muslim devotees named Sayyed Hassan SakafHalamir and Hazrath Sufi Shaheed and these two dedicated their life to impart services to other needy people. The place becomes more enticing and appealing at the time of holy festival of Muslims named Urus, which continues for 8 days. In this Dargah, women are not allowed but for them, other way arrangement has been done.
