Bentota, Sri Lanka - The Golden Seashores and Ayurveda
A Sri Lankan coastal urban renowned for golden seashores, Bentota is located on the southern coastal cap of the Galle District of the Southern zone. The township is a famous traveler attraction. It is particularly eminent among the overseas tourists. The name Bentota is derived from a legendary story which dates back to Maharaja’s time saying an evil spirit called Bem ruled the “Tota” river bank. Bentota hosts a plentiful of world famous hotels. It is the hosting terrain for the famed Sri Lankan Jeweler Aida. Bentota also possesses an ancient art of therapeutic healing called Ayurveda. Bentota is renowned for its manufacture in Toddy, an alcoholic cocktail made out of coconut nectar.
