Balsammand Lake in Jodhpur is one of the great picnic spots. The view of lake is so stunning and astonishing that no one can remain untouched. This artificial lake was constructed in 1159 AD with an aim to supply water to the people of Jodhpur. The lake flows on the road connected from Jodhpur to Mandore. The lake is fully covered with lush vegetation and offers great picturesque to its visitors. Balsammand Palace lies just attached to the lake and is also one of the main attractions for tourists in Jodhpur. The scene of lots of peacocks, jackals and blue bulls wandering near the lake is really mind-blowing.
